Duration of the Course
60 hours

Levels
Students will be divided in twelve levels:

• Breakthrough - A1.1
• Breakthrough - A1.2
• Waystage - A2.1
• Waystage - A2.2
• Threshold - B1.1
• Threshold - B1.2
• Vantage - B2.1
• Vantage - B2.2
• Proficiency - C1.1
• Proficiency - C1.2
• Mastery - C2.1
• Mastery - C2.2

Levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Placement Test
The candidates’ level will be assessed by a placement test.

Material needed during the Course
Students will receive a folder containing photocopied and original texts, as well as evaluation forms (self- and hetero-evaluation) with grammatical exercises.

Certificate
A certificate will be issued to all students who complied with the attendance requirements and successfully passed the course, at a cost of ¤ 5,00.

ECTS credits
Students who successfully conclude the course will be awarded 4 ECTS credits.
* Please note that only university students or graduates can be awarded ECTS credits.

Fee
The registration fee (non-refundable and non-transferable) is ¤ 340,00.
Please note: Apart from the tuition fee, students may also be required to pay school insurance in the amount of ¤ 2,00 if they haven't paid it yet.

Visa
Applicants from non-European Union countries (general public) must send a copy of their visa, without which the application will not be considered.
FLUP does not provide invitation or acceptance letters.

Additional Information
• Accommodation: FLUP does not provide accommodation. Upon arrival, students will receive information on the possibilities of private accommodation (at reasonable prices). To receive an updated list of private accommodation in the city of Oporto, please send us an e-mail.
• Meals: Students can have their meals in the Faculty of Arts’ snack bar as well as in several university canteens (at reasonable prices).

Application: from 18th April to 27th June 2016.

Placement Test: 1st July (5:00 pm, room 304) or 4th July (9:30 am, room 301) 2016.

Welcome reception: 4th July 2016 (5:00 pm, room "Anfiteatro 1").

Start: 5th July 2016.

End: 22nd July 2016.

Fee: it must be paid only on 5th or 6th July 2016.
