The PhD course in Human Language Technologies is organized by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, with the cooperation of the Faculties of Economics and Engineering.

This PhD course brings together a wide range of academic areas: natural language processing, computational linguistics, general linguistics, forensic linguistics, data mining, programming and databases, and other subjects relevant to human communication and the development of technologies used in human-machine communication in natural language.

Although the course is organized by the Faculty of Letters, the cooperation of the Faculties of Economics and Engineering is essential to this interdisciplinary project, and the plan includes the possibilities of working with specialists from other Portuguese universities, as well as from foreign universities through ERASMUS teacher mobility agreements.
