therefore all applicants are notified.


RECIPIENTS:

SInternational students are those designated in article 3 of the Decree-Law nº 36/2014, March 10th, revised by the Decree-Law nº 62/2018, August 6th and in article 1 of the Regulation nº 664/2018, October 16th.
Candidates who are not considered international, in accordance with that diploma, may not apply under this regime.

Are admitted as applicants to register in the 3rd cycle of studies leading to the PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences:

  1. Holders of Master Degree or legal equivalent in the areas of Health Sciences, Biology and Chemistry;
  2. Holders of Graduation Degree, presenting a particularly relevant school or scientific curriculum, recognized as attesting the ability to undertake this cycle of studies by the Scientific Committee;
  3. Exceptionally, holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum recognized by the Scientific Committee as certifying the ability to carry out this cycle of studies.


NOTE: Pursuant to the “U.Porto International Student Regulations”, if an applicant holds two or more nationalities but one of them is Portuguese, he/she cannot apply through the special international student aplications. If the applicant has two or more nationalities in which Portuguese is not included, but one of the nationalities is from a member state of the European Union, he/she may opt for one of them (article 1 of the Regulation nº 664/2018, October 16th).

 

 

 





DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION (ONLINE)

  1. Copy of passport and/or other legal equivalent document or declaration containing identification data;
  2. Declaration under a pledge of honor, that the candidate has no Portuguese nationality, nor it is covered by the exceptions provided for No2 of the article 3 of the Decree-Law nº 36/2014, March 10th, revised by Decree-Law nº 62/2018, August 6th and in article 1 of the Regulation nº 664/2018, October 16th;
  3. Curriculum Vitae:
    • Academic Curriculum;
    • Scientific Curriculum;
    • Professional Experience.
  4. Documents proving academic qualifications (endowed with average) and diploma supplement, if any; or Certificate proving ownership for a Foreign Academic Degree (must include average and indication of the applied rating scale); **
  5. Teaching Declaration (official document of the institution where he/she teaches, with indication of the respective category), if applicable;
  6. Advisor and Coorientator's Term of Acceptance;
  7. Plan, setting out the area to be investigated, indicating the doctoral specialty, the provisional subject and the objectives to be subscribed by the advisor(s) and the candidate(s);
  8. Declaration of acceptance by the Director of the Department of FFUP, indicating the Laboratory of FFUP where the student's work will take place (Laboratory to which the advisor of FFUP belongs);
  9. Proof of acceptance by the foreign host institution indicating the phase of stay;
  10. Document proving the granting of the FCT scholarship or other official entity, and in its absence, proof of application for the scholarship (if applicable).

** Foreign documents or documents issued abroad must be authenticated by the official education services of the respective country, and recognized by a Portuguese diplomatic or consular entity in the country in which they were obtained, or alternatively, legalized by the Apostille system under the Hague Convention. Documents not written in Portuguese should be translated into Portuguese or English.

TUITION FEES:
Information for the academic year 2020/21 soon available.

DUES
¤55,00 euros, non refundable.

Failure to pay the emoluments on time will result in the application being rejected outright.
To pay the fees, the ATM Referrals must be generated from the “Current Account” by clicking on the Imagem.
If payments are made from abroad, the applicant must make a bank transfer ( attachment), at the expense of the payer, using the data in the attachment document, and send the proof of transfer to expediente@ff.up.pt, with the following data: Application Login and Full Name.

APPLICABLE LAW

- Decree-Law nº 36/2014, March 10th, revised by Decree-Law No. 62/2018 (PT only) - Regulates the Status of International Students.
- Regulation nº 664/2018, October 16th (PT only) - Regulation for the application of the International Student Statute of the University of Porto.

Attention: Candidates not placed in one phase and wishing to apply for another phase will have to submit a new application and pay their fees.
