History

The present Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto, originated back in 1836 with the formation of the Pharmacy School which was annexed to the Medical-Surgery School. It then became an autonomous school in 1915. On 18th January 1921 it was granted the statute of Faculty and integrated in the University of Porto.
