Member of the Board of Directors of Wave Energy Center, member of the Scientific Council or EnergyIn – Portuguese Cluster for Energy Technologies, member of the Scientific Council or EnerGaia – Energy Agency of Vila Nova Gaia city, member of the consultancy Council and president of fiscal council of APVE (Portuguese Association for the Electric Vehicle), Vice president of ADENE (Portuguese Energy Agency), member of the ExCo oand vice-president of EUROPEAN ENERGY RESEARCH ALLIANCE (EERA), vice president of EuroGeoSurveys, vice-president of European Sustainability Energy Innovation Aliance (ESEIA), Member of EG Energy Education and Trainning Initiative (rapporteurs of the area systems Integartion) and member of the Advisory Group for Energy FP7.
Till 2010 she was member of the Board of Directors of Engineers Professional Association and presently was nominated vice president of General Assembly. Also acted as member of the Board of Directors do the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering (2000 till 2004).
In 2010 she received the Prize Personality in the category of Engineering from a Portuguese media “Construir”.
