Program

Concept of information. Data, information and knowledge in the context of the Construction Industry; Performance of the construction industry regarding information management; Specific characteristics of the construction industry's organizations and products; Description of the main flows of information throughout the constructive process; Construction Information Classification Systems. National and international examples; Main types of construction software applications (ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning; BIM - Building Information Models; Other applications).

DEMONSTRATION OF THE SYLLABUS COHERENCE WITH THE CURRICULAR UNIT'S OBJECTIVES:

The application of software tools to specific construction-related problems, as well as the development of appropriate data models require the students to understand the objectives specified in this document.
