Objectives

-To identify the main characteristics and criteria related to natural and technological risks
-To define the main type of risks (natural and technological);
-To present the regulatory and standard framework related to the different type of risks
-To recognize and to apply the risk (natural and technological) prevention methodologies in the design, installing and production stages of workplaces establishments.

Learning outcomes and competences

Have an integrated view of what are natural and technological hazards and know like acting in case of disaster.

Working method

Presencial

Program

Natural Risk
1) Methodological approach to the spatial analysis of dangerousness / risk natural
2) Risks related to Internal Geodynamics (geological)
3) Risks related to External Geodynamics (geological and climatic / weather)
4) Quick reference to risks mixed (natural together with anthropogenic influence)

Technological Risks
1) Fire Safety, Dam Safety, Hazardous Substances in Industry and Warehousing,
2) Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Gas and oil pipelines, Emergencies and Threats CBRN agents radiological nuclear, biological, chemical and radiological)
3) Methodologies (specific) risk management natural and / or technological.

Mandatory literature

Teaching methods and learning activities

The teaching will be carried out with references to: the criteria/factors of hazard/risk; to specific case studies in which the influence of these factors is unambiguous and, subsequently, with the proposal of brief exercises of natural hazards analysis.
