Teaching methods and learning activities

 Part I

Individual report assignment [IR] comprising a theoretical chapter and a practical section

 Individual report:

 i) theoretical chapter [TC]: presenting an explanatory text related to the standard requirement selection from an occupational health and safety management system.

ii) practical section [PS]: presentation and debate of the report concerning the TC to a specific economic activity, identifying the gains and “good-will” related to occupational health and safety. The practical part of the report must be orally presented and discussed in the classroom.

 Part II

Due to the specific training approach, evaluation comprises only an individual report and its presentation.

Developing an individual theoretical/practical report: based upon a free selection of an economic activity licensing legal framework, develop a method to identify, classify and use of legal information in decision making procedures related to occupational health and safety.

The written report ads to a compulsory oral presentation in the classroom and a discussion of the report main results.
