Objectives

To place the product's end-user at the focal point of design and development efforts, as opposed to the system, its applications or its aesthetic value alone; not only for the usability of the product itself but also for the overall experience of use.

Learning outcomes and competences

Distinction between Empirical and non-empirical studies - Right achievement of qualitative and quantitative methods to the studied products and contexts. Clear distinction between usability and user experience. Acknowledge of concepts and definitions - Efficacy, efficiency and satisfaction – measuring its dimensions - principles - data gathering - evaluation - results statement - Understanding and Implement of Sketching as a good tool for ideation and communication of user experience and usability values.

Working method

Presencial

Program

Product Experience, Product characteristics - Multisensory product experience. User Centred Design, Cognitive Processes, Usability - Design principles for usability, Usability tests - User experience - User Experience definition - Experience Modelling - Experience Prototype; Interaction Design Methodologies - Gather requirements and analysis for an inclusive Design - Getting the right Design, Sketching Users Experiences.
