Objectives

Give to the pupils the concepts of probability and statistics calculus. Prepare the students to the use and application to the real facts which involve the probability calculus and the wide range of statistical calculus.

Program

Probability: Combination analysis; probability study, concepts and fundamental principles; Random variables; Random variable momentum; Probability distribution; Random vectors, Random variables addition and limit laws.
Statistics: Sampling; Descriptive statistics; Estimation; Tests of hypotheses.

Teaching methods and learning activities

During theoretical classes all the above mentioned concepts are outlined. At the end of each chapter it is presented a few case examples, discussion of the methodology and presented practical examples.
Practical classes consist of the presentation of a certain number of selected exercises to be used into final discipline evaluation.
