Eligibility for exams

General Evaluation Rules of FEUP
Students have to reach a minimum grade of 40% in the continuous assessment.

Calculation formula of final grade

Exercises (closed book)- 5 values
3 Mid-Term assessments (open book) – 15 values (5 values each)

To the final exam will be admitted students that have been previously approved (minimum of 10 values), and want to improve their grading, and the students that have not been approved but fulfill the rules above concerning admission to exams, either this year or last year. The exam will be global and
partial assessment won't be allowed.

Examinations or Special Assignments

It will be proposed to the students the resolution (closed book) of 7 original exercises during the lectures that will be corrected and graded on a scale of 0 to 1 marks.
Students may accumulate, with these exercises, a maximum of 5 values.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Final Exam, closed book.

Classification improvement

To the final exam will be admitted students that have been previously approved (minimum of 10 values), and want to improve their grading, and the students that have not been approved but fulfill the rules above concerning admission to exams, either this year or last year.
