Objectives

CHAPTER 1 - COSTS OF THE SAFETY
- To esteem the basic elements of economic evaluation: investments, costs and market;
- To make economic evaluation of projects, in atmospheres progressively more complexes;
- To calculate costs and benefits of the implementation of systems of occupational safety and occupational hygiene.
CHAPTER 2 - MANAGEMENT OF THE ORGANIZATIONS AND OF THE PREVENTION
- To identify the main characteristics and contingencies associated to the management of the organizations;
- To know the different roles of a manager and to place them face actual challenges and practices of the management;
- To develop competences of team work;
- To define the management models of Safety, Hygiene and Health Occupational.
- To give to know the normative environment of the Systems of Management of the Safety and Health occupational.

CHAPTER 1 - COSTS OF THE SAFETY
- Costs of the work accidents;
- Introduction to economic theory;
- Methods of decision for investments;
- Cash-flow, Internal Rate of Return and Net Present Value;
- Investments with own funds;
- Investments with external financing.
CHAPTER 2 - ADMINISTRATION OF THE ORGANIZATIONS AND OF THE PREVENTION
- The administration and the manager's paper. Management concept. The functions and the manager's role. The manager's capacities.
- Theories of the organizations: Classic model and Taylorism. Behaviour perspective. Systems theory.
- Management process: Planning, Organization, Leadership and Control
- Planning: Definition of the Mission and objectives. Management for objectives. Strategic Management.
- Structures of the organizations: Factors that influence the drawing of the structures of the organizations. Types of structures of organizations.
- Motivation: The nature of the motivation. Theories of the Motivation. The pyramid of Maslow and the higiénicos Factores of Herzberg.
- Leadership: The leader's capacities. The leader's role. Leadership styles. Theories of the leadership.
