Objectives

Give the students the capacity to deeply study an actual and specific subject, based on the acquired knowledge, the informatic and bibliographic resources of FEUP, the experimental facilities and equipment of INEGI, IDMEC and companies or other entities that are collaborating in the seminar.
The aim is the development of the technical and scientific student capacity, the initiative and organization qualities, the methodology for experimental and theoretical work, the analitical rigour and the synthesis and exposition capacity.

Program

Perform a theoretical-experimental work about materials and manufacturing processes.

Main Bibliography

The bibliography is the more sorted possible, and is dependent on the type of the work selected by the student.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The student is faced with different types of works and experimental conditions, choosing the one that likes.
The work to be developed is object of a final report and a public presentation. The student should also ellaborate one poster that will be exhibited in a public area.
