Special welding processes. Plasma and Electrolasg Welding. Stud Welding. Electron Beam welding. Laser. Weldability of low carbon steels. Weld cracking mechanisms. Weldability of stainless steels and aluminium alloys. Design for manufacturing by robotic welding.

Program

Complement and consolidate the concepts and knowledge of welded fabrication acquired in the course on Joining of Metals. Particular attention is devoted to the study o special welding processes and weldability of non-ferrous metals.
