Aims:
Equip students with basic knowledge about the structure of an electric energy in its production components, transportation and distribution.
Provide students with training in order to know and explain the principles and bases of operation of central power generation.
Provide students with training in order to know and explain the models of transmission lines
Provide students with training in order to know the simplified method for calculating power flow in meshed networks.
Equip students with knowledge of charging systems and applicable incentives to encourage the rational use of energy
To acquire knowledge regarding electric power plants, transportation systems and energy supply (CDIO Syllabus: 1.2; 2.1, 2.3); - To describe and apply models of transmission and calculate power flow in networks (CDIO Syllabus: 1.2; 2.1; 2.3); - To be acquainted with fare systems applied to the promotion of a rational energy consumption (CDIO Syllabus: 1.2; 2.1; 2.3); - To develop techniques of autonomous work and bibliography research (CDIO Syllabus: 2.4); - To be capable of carrying out team work and planning and developing a group work (CDIO Syllabus: 2.4);
