Objectives

To remember some numerical methods that are used in engineering;
The utilization of the Microsoft Excel and VBA in correct mode.

Program

Class 1: Introduction, the Microsoft Excel, the Excel sheets, functions, charts, other functions, resolution of systems of linear equations, interpolation, zero finding equations;
Class2 : linear and non-linear regression and the Solve use, numeric integration and the resolution of ordinary differential equations.
Class 3: VBA programming I – subroutines, variables declaration, functions, input/output data
Class4: VBA programming II – Control flux and index variables
Classes 5 and 6: Realization of the evaluation work.

The evaluation is performed by the realization of a work (2 people). The work consists in the resolution of one problem in Microsoft Excel VBA and the presentation of a written report with the problem description and the results obtained (maximum 5 pages). 2 files must be sent before the a first week of the second module with problem resolution in Microsoft Excel and VBA and report..
