Master in Services Engineering and Management

Today, the service sector represents more than 70% of production and employment in the most developed world economies, and its relevance is increasing everywhere. Service provision involves people, processes and technologies. As such, developing and managing services requires multidisciplinary competences in diverse areas, such as technology and social sciences.

The Master in Service Engineering and Management (MESG) aims at developing competences to conceive, design, implement and operate technology enabled service systems.

Who can apply
MESG is directed to graduates in Engineering, Science, Economics or Management, who want to develop their career in service development, design and management, either in service or in manufacturing industries.

Application requirements
MESG candidates must have a good BSc first degree or equivalent degree (180 ECTS) in Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Computing, Mathematics, Economics or Management. According to each candidate’s background, a plan of studies can be defined to best complement previous competences. English proficiency is required.

Schedule
Full time MESG students will be required to work full time on the courses and projects during the two years. As such, this program is not compatible with full time jobs. However, a significant number of courses is lectured on Friday and Saturday morning. As such, it may be possible to complete the MESG while working

The Course will run with a maximum of 30 participants.

Employment Prospects

The multidisciplinary training of MESG provides a wide range of career paths for its students, leading also to a high rate of employability among MESG graduates. The combination of engineering, management and ICT skills allows MESG graduates to address complex problems in organizations, since they can communicate and collaborate with other professionals in different functional areas. Thus, organizations from various sectors of activity are looking for MESG graduates, particularly in the areas of information technology, consulting and logistics and transportation.

MESG graduates often take on the role of consultant, business analyst, project manager, product manager, operations manager, product owner, customer experience manager.
