Applicants over 23 years old who have taken special examinations designed to assess the ability to attend higher education in accordance with Order No. 15229/2006, of 14th July (the examination results must be within their period of validity).
1 - The examinations are valid to apply for enrolment and registration in the year they are successfully taken and in the three subsequent academic years.
2 - If you have not taken the special examinations yet, you may see further information here. Applications 2019/20 for taking the special examinations designed to assess the ability to attend higher education for applicants over 23 years old take place from 2nd to 21st May 2019.
3 - Applicants covered by the international student status (Decree-Law No. 62/2018, of 6th August (legislation only available in Portuguese)) cannot apply under this regime.
For the Master in Electrical and Computers Engineering (MIEEC), only applicants with a grade equal to, or higher than, 12 (out of 20) in the special examinations designed to assess the ability to attend higher education will be admitted.
For the Master in Engineering and Industrial Management (MIEGI), only applicants with a grade equal to, or higher than, 14 (out of 20) in the special examinations designed to assess the ability to attend higher education will be admitted.

Final grade of the examinations designed to assess the ability to attend higher education for applicants over 23 years old: 100%.
In the event of a tie, priority will be given to applicants who have obtained approval in the said examinations longer ago.
Application is subject to the payment of a non-refundable fee of 55 euros.
Procedure to generate ATM references:

2. Confirm the data displayed and click "Atribuir" (Assign) and the associated reference will be automatically generated (note: It may take a while to generate ATM references).
3. Click "Voltar à conta corrente" (Back to current account) to see the reference generated.
Payments from abroad must be made by bank transfer, at payer’s expenses, using the information in the attached document.
Then, you must send proof of the bank transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the following data:
- Name of the payer and name of the applicant, address, country, tax identification number and the purpose of the payment (application, enrolment fee, tuition fee, etc.).
- After the deadline for submitting applications, applicants have 5 additional days to ensure the payment of the corresponding fee, which is required for the application to become effective. After this deadline, any applications regarding which fees have not been paid will be rejected outright.
