The purpose of this course is to provide students the skills necessary for the development of work leading to a dissertation, work project or internship plan.
Students should be able to:
Describe a problem / research topic.
Identify the appropriate methodological approach;
All the above elements must be included in the dissertation plan that will be developed by the students.
The main learning outcome is the development of a dissertation plan. This plan will be the foundation for the work the students will later conduct in order to develop a dissertation, work project or dissertation plan. While developing the dissertation plan, the students should be able to:
Conduct a critical review of the relevant literature;
Identify the data required to analyse the problem;

Presentation of problems / research topics by the master's teachers, companies and researchers
Students' presentation of the topic and supervisor
Students' presentation of the dissertation plan
Classes with presentation and discussion of topics.

Oral presentation of the topic and supervisor
Oral presentation of the dissertation plan
The final grade is equal to the grade of the written document with the dissertation plan.
The oral presentations of the topic and supervisor, and of the dissertation plan, are not taken into account in the final grade, but are mandatory in order to pass the course. Therefore, any student that fails to do any of the two oral presentations cannot pass the course unit.
