Objectives
This course offers students the opportunity to broaden both their theoretical and applied knowledge through lectures given by guest speakers from the corporate, governamental, and social sectors. The guest speakers present real-life cases that are crucial for a good understanding of what are the dominant trends, how the world and economy are changing, and how organizations are adjusting their strategies to an increasingly complex and uncertain environment.
Learning outcomes and competences
The course aims to help each student learn how to characterize a problem, how to evaluate the potential outcomes implied by the different theoretical solutions and how to comunicate his/her analysis and conclusions. Students are expected to develop the ability to integrate and apply theoretical knowledge to the resolution of complex problems taking a multidisciplinary approach and factoring in ethical concerns. Students are encouraged to work in teams.
