Objectives
The course aims to provide contributions from several areas of Economics and Management using the participation of guests of recognized merit in three major areas of activity: research, the business world and public or private institutions.
Each student will learn to discuss any of the case studies and to be able to integrate theoretical knowledge in the analyses and resolution of concrete problems in the fields of Economics and Management.
Learning outcomes and competences
At the end of the semester the student must be able to discuss any of the case studies analyzed as well as to do a critical reflection of the addressed issues, based on technical foundations. He/She should also be able to effectively communicate his/her analysis and reflection, in oral and written terms.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Introduction of new theoretical themes / applied research / case studies from different subject areas ineconomics and management and discussion of these issues.
Seminars require the presence / attendance and active participation of students. Besides the presentation time by the invited speakerall sessions have a long discussion / debate, where an informed participation by all students is expected. Ideally this space should allow the confrontation / contradictory between the acquired theoretical references and the topics covered by the speakers.
