Objectives

 

Students should master the key concepts, methods and techniques that support decision making.

 

In addition, they should be able to apply them to ,solve specific problems.

Learn the fundamental concepts envolved in decision support systems field. What are the main techniques and tools used. Learn the basic concepts of expert systems and be able to construct simple examples. Learn the fundamental concepts in the field of fuzzy logic (fuzzy logic) and understand their aplicaçãona construction of decision models based on decision rules simple to understand and interpret.

Learning outcomes and competences

 

After attending the curricular unit, students should be acquainted with quantitative methods and techniques be used to provide decision support to decision makers. 

 

They should also know how to use multi-criteria software, such as AHP and MASSITI.
