Objectives

The main aims of the course are:

- analyze and apply the fundamental concepts and theoretical frameworks of the Social Psychology of Organizations;

- make an empirical approach to organizational realities in order to foster a broader understanding of the issues addressed;

- contribute positively to address the challenges of professional practices of students.

Learning outcomes and competences

The course aims that students:

- master the concepts and theoretical frameworks on key issues about organizations;

- develop the capacity for reflection and critical analysis based on different organizational realities;

- mobilize the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired for current and future professional practices.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Use of expository approaches articulated with the use of questioning and active methods. During the course students will work on: bibliographic materials previously available, other documents provided within the classroom and their own professional practices.

Eligibility for exams

The students must attend at least 75% of the classes provided.

Calculation formula of final grade

Distributtion assessment with final exam: -Working group (50%) -Final exam (50%) Students will fail if they obtain classification values below 7.5 in any of these components of evaluation, even though the final mark is positive.

Examinations or Special Assignments

Informations about the working group: i) The working group will be a written discussion of a subject of the course, based on an organization selected by students. ii) The students must send an email to the teacher informing the composition of the groups (maximum 3 students) and the organization selected. iii) The extent of written work can range from 5000 to 5100 words, with font size Times New Roman, size 12, spacing 1.5 cm, margins, header and footer with 2.5 cm. The students must submit the written work on a date to be appointed. iv) The evaluation of the working group will be taken into consideration the following criteria: a) consistency of writing; b) capacity for critical analysis and reflection, c) use of the literature.

Classification improvement

The students in distributtion assessment with final exam may improve the classification obtained on the exam at the resource time.
