Booklets edited by the lecturing team.
Teaching methods and learning activities
Tutorial lectures, with exercises and course works.
Software
MS Excel, MS Access, R (www.r-project.org)
Evaluation Type
Distributed evaluation with final exam
Eligibility for exams
All the enrolled students can submit the exam.
Calculation formula of final grade
It is not mandatory to obtain a positive classification in courseworks. If the Courseworks grade (NT) is lower than the written exam grade (NE), the latter has a weighting of 100%.
The final grade (NF) is calculated as follows:
if NE>=7 and NT>=NE
then NF=minimum of (NE * 0.65 + NT * 0.35) and 20
otherwise NF = NE
NF cannot excede NE + 2
The students with final grade (NF) >= 9,5 will pass.
When mandatory according to Faculty rules, the students that do not pass may be admitted to a
complementary exam if :
final grade >=7.5 AND exam grade >= 6.0
OR exam grade >= 7.5
Observations
Tutoring
Each lecturer must publish a schedule for tutoring her/his students. However, students should arrange with their lecturer for any individual meeting.
