Abstract (EN): The surface properties of nuclear matter that are predicted by the Walecka and the Zimanyi–Mosz- kowski model are compared and discussed within the semiclassical approximation. The critical radius of cold nuclear-matter droplets is also investigated. Owing to the lower value of the nuclear-matter incompressibility, the Zimanyi–Moszkowski model provides a better description of nuclear matter. It is found that the semiclas- sical approximation yields very good results in relation to those obtained from more sophisticated calculations.
