Resumo (PT): As Doenças Musculosquelética são um grupo heterogéneo de doenças que incluem as compressões nervosas periféricas, distúrbios musculares e vasculares, tendinites e tenosinovites. São tendencialmente referidas como estando relacionadas, direta ou indiretamente, com o trabalho. Pretende-se, com este artigo dar uma contribuição no sentido de clarificar esta relação. São fornecidas pistas que decorrem dos resultados de três avaliações por três métodos diferentes, efetuadas de forma independente mas coordenada, por três equipas de trabalho, a um mesmo grupo de trabalhadores. O estudo teve por alvo uma fábrica com 620 trabalhadores, dos quais 166 trabalham no setor de produção estudado. A amostra foi constituída por 109 indivíduos que foram avaliados por três métodos distintos (inquérito nórdico, exame médico e RULA). Desta avaliação foi diagnosticada DME a trabalhadores que não apresentaram queixa de sintomas. Esta vertente não esperada e habitualmente não abordada carece de estudos mais aprofundados

Abstract (EN): The Musculoskeletal disorders are a heterogeneous group of diseases that include peripheral nerve compressions, muscular and vascular disorders, tendinitis and tenosynovitis. Tend to be referred to as being related directly or indirectly with the work. It is intended with this article to contribute to clarify this relationship. Are provided clues stemming from results of three evaluations by three different methods done independently, but coordinated, by three teams, to the same group of workers. The study had as targeted a factory with 620 workers, 166 of whom work in the studied production sector. The sample consisted of 109 individuals which have been assessed by three different methods (nordic inquiry, medical examination and RULA). From this evaluation was diagnosed DME in workers that didn't present symptoms. This strand unexpected and not habitually addressed needs further studies.
