Abstract (EN):
In this paper the application of Artificial
Intelligence to on-line dynamic security assessment of
isolated power systems with increased wind power
penetration is presented. The developed security
functions have been integrated in the dynamic security
assessment module of the advanced control system of
the island of Crete providing timely warning of insecure
operating conditions with very satisfactory accuracy.
