Abstract (EN): In this paper, a thermal integrated model was developed to explain the sparks generated by electrical discharge in a liquid media. This thermal model is based on the previous thermal-electrical model of J. Marafona and Chousal which considered the Joule effect as the driving motor of EDM phenomenon. The present model uses, as thermal source, the electrical energy transformed into thermal energy, or by other words, the Joule effect with a full conversion. The discharge channel grows with time and the dielectric shows thermal properties dependent of temperature. Albiński et al. (1985) in that work show that the temperature is around 8000 ºC and 10000 ºC in the discharge channel. Based on these assumptions was developed a thermal model which show results with a significant degree of agreement with previous literature.
