Abstract (EN): This work presents an evolutionary optimization scheme to determine the mechanical properties of biomaterials. The optimization scheme is based on differential evolution (DE) a well-known and versatile algorithm. Several examples of application are given with an emphasis on the consistency of the obtained results. The evolutionary technique investigated (DE) proved to be a versatile and accurate solution to estimate the mechanical properties of biomaterials.
