Abstract (EN):
The present work focuses the study of wall shear stress-based descriptors: time averaged wall shear stress (TAWSS), oscillating shear index (OSI) and relative residence time (RRT), of sketch geometries of the left coronary artery (LCA): one healthy case, one disease case with 30% obstruction in the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and other disease case with 50% obstruction in the LAD. Moreover, these parameters were studied for a patient-specific LCA based on computed tomography (CT) - a healthy case. Low TAWSS, high OSI and high RRT let know potential zones for atherosclerosis appearance and are in agreement in the same locations. In the sketch geometries, the probable zones of atherosclerosis appearance are in the bifurcation and before/after the obstruction. In the patient-specific LCA, atherosclerosis can appear not only in the bifurcation but also in protruding parts.
