Resumo (PT): O texto que a seguir se apresenta constitui o Relatório Final do Estudo “Relações entre a Escola e o Mercado de Emprego Envolvente” realizado para o Observatório do Emprego e Formação Profissional. A finalidade última do Estudo, nos termos do contratualizado, foi expressa do seguinte modo: “propor orientações, medidas e procedimentos que potenciem a cooperação entre os dois espaços de aprendizagem de saberes e saberes fazer – a escola e o mercado de emprego – minorando situações de algum autismo recíproco favorecendo a consolidação e progressão das aprendizagens associadas à valorização do trabalho e da empregabilidade”. Trata-se de um documento síntese de informação e das reflexões que se afiguram pertinentes para apreender globalmente as problemáticas e desafios associadas ao objecto de estudo e, também um documento operacional do ponto de vista do enquadramento e da proposta de intervenções relevantes e eficazes. O documento estrutura-se em oito grandes capítulos e num conjunto de anexos: (I) um primeiro capítulo, no qual se apresenta informação relativa à organização e metodologia do trabalho; (II) um segundo capítulo, dedicado à apresentação do objecto de estudo no sentido de precisar o quadro de referência da reflexão e da produção da equipe; (III) um terceiro capítulo no qual se apresenta uma síntese de reflexões e perspectivas teóricas sobre o tema em análise; (IV) um quarto capítulo, dedicado à síntese de algumas reflexões e na+alises publicadas sob a temática “Jovens, a Escola e o Mundo do Trabalho”; (V) um quinto capítulo, orientado para a identificação e análise de elementos de politica, educativa e de emprego, e de perspectivas e respostas político-institucionais que enquadram visões e respostas e desafios identificados; (VI) um sexto capítulo, dedicado à apresentação sumária de políticas e práticas associadas a sistemas educativos europeus; (VII), um sétimo capítulo, que incorpora uma parte significativa do trabalho de terreno realizado, orientado parar a apresentação das perspectivas dos agentes e das instituições contactadas e das práticas observadas no âmbito do relacionamento entre as escolas e o mercado de emprego; (VIII), um oitavo capítulo – Conclusões e recomendações, dedicado à apresentação de domínios de conclusão e de orientações parar a acção, que sistematiza e “amarra” o conteúdo da análise e reflexão produzidas, conferindo-lhe um sentido.

Abstract (EN): The following text, constitutes the final report of the study “Relations between schools and labour market” to the Observatório do Emprego e Formação Profissional. The aim of this study was expressed as follows: “to propose orientations, measures and procedures that enhance cooperation between the school and the labour market. The purpose is to mitigate reciprocal lack of knowledge between both areas, encouraging the development of a two-way learning process and the valorisation of work and employability”. This technical document it’s a summary of the information and considerations that, from the team’s perspective, are vital in grasping the problems and challenges associated with the object of study, as well as an operational document that sets the framework for relevant and effective actions. The document is structured in eigth chapters. The first chapter presents information concerning the organization and methodology of this study. The second, is dedicated to the presentation of the subject and the reference framework of the study; the third chapter includes a synthesis of considerations and theoretical perspectives concerning the subject; the fourth chapter presents a synthesis of published analysis and considerations concerning the issue “youth, school and the labour market”; the fifth, includes an identification and analysis of some education and employment policies, the perspectives and political-institutional answers related to these issues and the challenges identified; the sixth chapter summarizes policies and practices linked to the European educational system concerning the promotion of relations between schools and the labour market. The seventh chapter incorporates a significant part of the field work accomplished, introducing the perspectives of the agents and institutions that were considered, and the practices observed as a result of the relationship between schools and the labour market. The eighth chapter refers to the main conclusions and recommendations.
