All students enrolled at FEP or, in the case of recent-graduates, those who completed their course less than 1 year ago.
Duration:
Extracurricular internships must have a maximum duration of 1 year and may be undertaken at any time during the academic year.
The internship work schedule may not interfere with students’ class schedules.
Conditions:
It is compulsory to take out occupational accident insurance or to include the candidate in the existing occupational accident policy.
The company must pay the candidate a food subsidy (equal to that paid to all other employees).
When the internship is equal to or longer than 3 months, the company must grant a monthly internship allowance, the amount of which cannot be less than the guaranteed minimum monthly salary reduced by 20%.
Formalizing the Internship:
The internship does not require FEP's involvement to be formalized; an internship contract may be celebrated between just the company and the student.
If the company wishes to celebrate a protocol that includes FEP, they must contact the FEP Career and Development Service directly sdc@fep.up.pt at least 20 working days in advance of the internship start date.
