Personal Presentation
Paulo
Beleza Vasconcelos received a degree in Applied Mathematics from Faculty of
Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) in 1987, a M.Sc. (equivalent) in
Quantitative Methods from Faculty of Economy of the University of Porto (FEP)
in 1992 and a Ph.D. in Sciences of Engineering from Faculty of Engineering of
the University of Porto (FEUP) in 1998. He now holds an Assistant Professor
appointment at the University of Porto (UP).
He does his
research in the scope of the Mathematics Centre of the University of Porto
(CMUP) in the areas of Numerical analysis, computational mathematics and computational economics. He has the National Defense Course from the “Instituto de Defesa
Nacional” (IDN), and he is member of the “Associação dos Auditores dos Cursos
de Defesa Nacional” (AACDN). He is founding member of the “Observatório de
Economia e Gestão de Fraude” (OBEGEF).
