José M. Gaspar holds a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Porto (Awarded with the “Prémio António Simões Lopes” for best Ph.D Thesis in Economics and Management in 2017). He was a researcher at CEGE and lecturer at Católica Porto Business School, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a member of the Regional Studies Association. His main research interests consist of the application of topics in mathematical economics to the fields of spatial economics and economic growth.
