Personal Presentation

Sofia A. Cruz, Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP) and Researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto (IS-UP).

She has accomplished a Habilitation in Sociology (University of Porto), a Post-Doctorate in the Sociology of Organisations and Professional Groups (University of Porto and Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines - membre fondateur de l'Université Paris-Saclay), a PhD in Sociology (University of Porto), a Master's Degree in Social Sciences (University of Lisbon) and a Degree in Sociology (University of Porto). She holds the Diplôme Supérieur D'Études Françaises (Ambassade de France au Portugal/Institut Français de Porto and Université de Toulouse-Le-Mirail).

She was awarded post-doctoral and doctoral scholarships by the  Foundation for Science and Technology.

Her teaching and research activities include the Sociology of Organisations, Work and Professional Groups, Research Methodology, Ethics and Social Responsibility and Organisational Behaviour.
