Objectives

The course offers students the opportunity to broaden their knowledge (both theoretical and applied), through talks given by guest speakers from corporations, government, and/or the social sector. Therefore, the objective is that students develop an ability to critically discuss diverse management topics, gaining a good understanding of what are the present trends, how the world and the economy are changing, and how organizations are adjusting their strategies and management practices to an increasingly complex and uncertain environment.

Learning outcomes and competences

The course aims to help students to learn how to characterize a problem, how to evaluate the potential outcomes out of different theoretical solutions, and how to communicate his/her analysis and conclusions. Students are expected to develop the ability to integrate and apply theoretical knowledge to the resolution of complex problems taking a multi-disciplinary approach and taking into consideration ethical concerns.
