Objectives

- to think critically change in organizations;
- to analyse the contexts of organizational change, how it emerges and the different approaches to its implementation;
- to explore the limitations of managerialist approaches towards change and the need to consider alternative views;
- to analyse the role of the manager as a leader of change processes;
- to think critically change in organizations.

Learning outcomes and competences

Students are expected to develop a conceptual and methodological framework to analyse organizational change processes, and to be able to design policies and propose intervention practices.

a) DISTRIBUTED ASSESSMENT

  • Exam 65% + Individual paper 35% 
  • A minimum mark of 7 is required in the exam.
  • Approval is granted when the average mark is 9,5 or higher.


b) FINAL EXAM (in época de recurso only): 100%.
