Objectives

- To provide students with the essential frameworks of the criminal procedural law;
- Identifying and understanding the various procedural models, their fundamental characteristics and their estrutural principles;

- Deepening theoretical and dogmatic foundations of the studied themes, as well as its projections in terms of legal regulations and jurisprudential solutions;
- Promoting a critical and autonomous reflection on central criminal procedure themes.

Learning outcomes and competences

Studentes should be able to:
- identify the essential frameworks of the criminal procedural law;
- understand the main procedural models and identify their fundamental characteristics;
- have a thorough knowledge of the Portuguese criminal procedure model and its structuring principles;
- discuss critically the legal and jurisprudential solutions to the central problems of criminal
procedure.

TITLE I

CAP. I - Theory of the Criminal Procedure Law. The Criminal Procedure Law and its implementation.
CAP. II - The Fundamental Structure of the Portuguese Criminal Procedure.
1.Constitutional conformation and Procedural Models.
2. General Principles of Criminal Procedure.
