Objectives
In this curricular unit, it is intended that students are able to develop a research project or action-research that reveals the integration of knowledge acquired in the Study Programme.
It is also intended to:
i) consolidate the conditions of autonomy in the acquisition of knowledge and the development of research and action skills;
ii) that the project to be developed, as far as possible, articulates with the internship, and that it results in contributions to the host institutions.
Learning outcomes and competences
At the end of CU, students are expected to:
- From the review of the scientific literature, demonstrate the ability to identify the main theoretical and methodological issues, perspectives, results, and debates about the chosen object and that these elements guide the design and rationale of the project.
- Design a research or intervention project, to operationalize it and to test the technical and methodological skills involved in its implementation.

Program
The syllabus follows the planning and maturation process of individual projects, being oriented to the needs presented in each phase, by the students and in order to stimulate their proper development and their progressive autonomy.
From the developed activity should result in a written report that reflects: the project objectives, the theoretical framework defined based on the review of the scientific literature, the methodology, and procedures.
It should also contain the developments made in its execution, namely the construction of data collection instruments, the analysis plan, and desirably the presentation of the results of its implementation and its discussion.
