Objectives
The aim of this course is to prepare students for research, preparing and presenting a work in the context of legal and economic sciences. Students are expected to acquire skills in terms of bibliographical research, treatment of sources, delimitation and identification of an object of study, capacity for critical analysis, etc.

The topics will be presented by each U.C. lecturer, but will include economic regulation, competition, public intervention, European finance and taxation, among others.

The bibliography for the different subjects will be indicated by each of the lecturers.
Teaching methods and learning activities
A first class will be held in the FDUP Library, introducing master's students to existing bibliographic and electronic resources, as well as the basic methodology that should underpin a research project.
This will be followed by the topics of academic fraud and academic misconduct, quotation methods, bibliographic organisation, among others.
Afterwards, each of the lecturers will give a lesson in which they will present some suggestions for research topics related to their areas of study.
The other sessions will be organised on a mentoring basis with a view to monitoring the research work of the master's students and answering any questions they may have.
Once the first research papers have been finalised, the students will begin to present their work, as well as "contradict" their colleagues' work.
