Objectives
The discipline of Methodology and Jurisprudence seeks to problematize the Law, to think it beyond the strictly technical domain, seeking that the student acquires the critical instruments indispensable to an exercise of autonomous reflection, sensitive to ethical, political, and cultural dimensions in general. This openness to other concerns, as well as being the cornerstone of university study, is vital for the formation of the jurist, who cannot be a simple technocrat: as has been said (paraphrasing "mutatis mutandis" a lapidary formula), "Who knows only Law, not even Law knows". Thus, not only is it intended to draw up a panorama of themes cultivated in many different areas of philosophical and methodological reflection, but also opening the dialogue of legal knowledge with different manifestations of thought and culture, and promoting personal and group research at a higher level.
Learning outcomes and competences
The aforementioned objectives must be achieved to the extent applicable by each student, developing in their critical competence, acquisition of content, methods of study and work, etc.
