Objectives

Civil Law General Theory is a subject of the 2nd year of FDUPs Law Degree. It aims to introduce the framework of Portuguese Private Law, enabling the basic preparation to subsequent Civil Law subjects. The program follows closely the General Part of Portuguese Civil Code, dating from 1966. Special attention is paid to the study of personality rights and general theory of contract.
