Abstract (EN):
We have studied Y chromosome haplotypes in a sample of 51 healthy male blood donors from Macau, a territory located on the southeastern coast of China, in the Pearl River delta of Guangdong Province. The STR (DYS19, DYS389 I and II, DYS390, DYS391, DYS392 and DYS393) based haplotypes were determined after PCR multiplexing by automatic fragment sizing using a Perkin Elmer ABI 377 sequencer. The results can be summarized as follows: 48 distinct haplotypes were found, and only 3 occurred twice. This high haplotype diversity shows the forensic and anthropological interest of the simultaneous typing of these loci.
