Resumo (PT): A dimensão relacional entre a cultura portuguesa e a cultura francesa caracterizou--se no fio do tempo, já longo, por uma univocidade de atenção, de conhecimento e de importação de modelos produtivos. Muito embora possam então ser detetadas no fio do tempo presenças no imaginário francês que tomam Portugal por objeto, a verdade é que o desinteresse e desconhecimento face ao espaço luso são maioritários, no momento em que se dá em Portugal uma inesperada revolução. A Revolução de Abril será então ponto de viragem? Com o objetivo de refletir sobre perceções e representações da Revolução de Abril em França, consideraremos duas questões: o que pode a literatura traduzida e quais os ecos da Revolução na literatura francesa.

Abstract (EN): Throughout time, the relational dimension between the Portuguese and French cultures has been characterized by a univocal attention and knowledge, and by imports of productive models. While they can be detected over time in the French imaginary presences concerning Portugal, the truth is that disinterest and ignorance in view of Portugal are majority at the time that an unexpected revolution takes place. The April Revolution will then be a turning point? In order to reflect on perceptions and representations of the April Revolution in France, we will address two issues: the role of translated literature in French literary system and the echoes of Carnation Revolution in French literature.
