Abstract (EN): Aim: The aim of this study was to analyze the teaching of the complete denture and its clinic practice from the students of the FMDUP before and after the application of the Bologna Process, between academic years of 2005 and 2012. Methods: Firstly, was performed a survey about the teaching of Removable Prosthodontics on FMDUP, in the past seven years, before and after the Bologna Process, from SIGARRA, and reports of pedagogical courses. In the second phase was carried out a statistical survey of Removable Prosthodontics clinical acts, specifically complete dentures, registered in the management program of the University Clinic of FMDUP, NewSoft ® DS9 (academic version), between the years 2005 and 2012. Was carried out a retrospective statistical analysis, descriptive, with the program Microsoft ® Excel and a statistical program of the University of Amsterdam available online to compare proportions, using the binomial test. Results: There was not a significant statistic difference between the proportion «number of complete dentures executed/number of students» during the periods of time before and after the implementation of the Bologna Process. Conclusion: Nevertheless, contradicting the tendencies reveled in other studies, complete dentures continues to be a rehabilitation process performed in a considerable number in FMDUP clinic thus justifying its inclusion in the academic contents. © 2012 Sociedade Portuguesa de Estomatologia e Medicina Dentária.
