Abstract (EN): A survey of some notifiable fish diseases (enteric redmouth disease, furunculosis, bacterial kidney disease, proliferative kidney disease and whirling disease) was made at all trout culture sites in Portugal. All the analyses were negative for 95% confidence assuming an incidence of 10%. This emphasizes the need for fish import regulations in Portugal in order to maintain the situation. © 1987.
