Abstract (EN): This work compares the fatigue performance of a conventional abutment with a dynamic abutment, both part of a 3-element implant fixed bridge. To perform this test, the ISO standard 14801 was used. A compressive static test was performed to define the initial reference load (3005N). The samples were than subjected to progressively decreasing loads until a total of five million cycles were reached. At that point (1050N), three samples were subjected to the same load obtaining the same result. The comparison of these results with the values for mastication loads found on bibliography, highlight the safety of use of the dynamic abutments.
