Abstract (EN): In this work, we describe an experimental process to determine the temperature distribution on a titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V workpiece, during a surface grinding operation. The forces acting on the workpiece and the temperature are measured simultaneously during the grinding process. The obtained results are then compared with the numerical results obtained using the finite element method [1]. The finite element model proposed is based on Jaeger's model [2]. A comparison between the numerical results obtained with the proposed model and the experimental measurements is made.
