Abstract (EN):
A non-local model for material softening, in which the internal dissipative variable adopted is the damage, is implemented. The ductile damage model utilised is based on an enhanced Lemaitre model which includes a clear distinction between damage evolution for compressive and tensile stress states. The model adopted is an implicit gradient model in which the non-local damage is implicitly defined through a Helmholtz differential equation in which the diffusion coefficient is a length scale parameter and the difference between the local and non-local damage fields is the source term. The performance of local and non-local models are compared in large deformation problems, specially in what respects the problem of mesh dependence.
