Abstract (EN):
This paper reports on an e-tool that is being developed at University of Porto under the scope of a major project that seeks a framework, assisted by information and communication technologies, to teach electronics to undergraduate students at introductory levels. The project aims, simultaneously, at a more efficient way to deliver knowledge and to keep the students motivated in a true continuous learning environment. The e-tool embodies a main web text with multiple links to complementary documents containing mathematical proofs and deeper analysis or concepts that may not be essential on a first read. Consequently a soothed main text results, allowing a lighter and more attractive reading experience. A strong emphasis is put on circuit analysis by inspection, of which the circuit transformation procedure is an example [1]. Animated pictures and guided examples are also included to illustrate some circuit transformations techniques. Online and interactive circuit simulations, as well as illustrative audio and video clips are being prepared. This e-tool will be integrated with other software environments in order to create a complete e-learning experience.
